Lykens Township Volunteer Fire Department has been awarded a grant of $4,550 to fully fund a G1 Rescue Air II system. The G1 Rescue Air II system is a breathing air bottle and connections that can be rapidly deployed in case of an emergency. If a firefighter runs out of air, or their SCBA (self-contained breathing apparatus) should fail before he or she is able to exit the hazardous air conditions, this G1 system can be deployed. This is a quick way to get extra air to someone who may be trapped or in a compromised situation. For more information, visit facebook.com/LykensVFD.

The Honey Creek Wind team works hard to be strong community partner. Supporting organizations like this through our community grant program is one way that we can contribute to pressing community needs, help enrich lives, and make a meaningful impact at the local level.
