ABOUT HONEY CREEK WIND
Honey Creek Wind could offer an opportunity to address Ohio’s growing electricity demand and replace the energy from the numerous announced fossil fuel plant closings in the Midwest with clean domestic energy, while investing money into Crawford and Seneca Counties' economies and supporting the rural farm community.
AN ECONOMIC OPPORTUNITY FOR CRAWFORD AND SENECA COUNTIES
Honey Creek will create jobs and generate an entirely new source of long-term revenue for local schools, governments, and landowners. In the long term, the project promises to bring sustained tax revenue to the county for the local government and schools, as well as 30 years of local purchasing, employment, and investment. Farmers who host turbines on their property and other participating landowners will also receive annual community lease payments. These payments will continue over the projected 30-year lifespan of the wind farm, injecting millions of dollars into the economies of Crawford and Seneca Counties to support local merchants, contractors, and equipment suppliers.
